Fabulous Ada McFarley!

I met Ada a few years ago in a Business connection group and she was always such an inspiration to me with her speeches and motivational goals. A few weeks ago Ada contacted me to schedule her new headshot and I am so happy she agreed to participate in my new and very exciting project 40 over 40 revolution.

I can't wait to share Ada's story below. Hope you receive as much inspiration as I did.

What is your background?

"I started out in the criminal justice field as a probation officer, military police officer, and local Saint Petersburg police officer, and I ended up as criminal justice professor. Then I started my own business as a professional cleaning company."

What are 3 words that define you now?

"Confident. Relentless. Humble."

What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?

"Do not shrink so that others will feel comfortable. You are an amazing light and you are meant to shine."

What are your profession and your achievements that you would like to share?

"I am currently a serial business owner. My company has been voted twice as the business of the year, and we have grown from the garage of my home to an office. We have grown from 2 employees to 36 employees. "

What are your hobbies and passions?

"My hobby is scrabble; I am a forced extrovert, but I love reading and scrabble. Some other things that I share a passion about is that we have a foundation and at the end of the day I am a motivational speaker and I a philanthropist. Those are two things that I am the most passionate about"

What is something that matters to you?

"It doesn't take a lot to be kind. People will never remember what you say, but people always remember the way you treated them. I don't care if you are a person in the elevator, I don't care if you are a homeless person on the street. It is so important to me to show my kindness."

What is your personal motto?

"My personal motto that gets me through is "It Is impossible to contain a human spirit that has the desire to rise. I don't care how mean people are, I don't care how many doors get shut, but it's impossible to contend that a spirit who has the desire to rise will bust through that doors."

What would you like your legacy to be?

"When someone may be standing at the top of my coffin I d like that person especially a woman, to say that I helped them, that I encouraged them, that I shared everything I knew with them to help them get to the top of their lives and profession."

What have you enjoyed most about your experience today?

"Oh, my... Anastasia is amazing! From the minute I drove my car into her driveway, I felt as if I was receiving red carpet treatment. What I enjoyed most besides connecting with her and hiring her if that she is just a wonderful person. But what I enjoyed most about this day is actually coming to her studio and just seeing how amazing it is. She has allowed me to not only feel my inner beauty but my outer beauty as well."
